I have a cored-out Sportster muffler up for grabs. First caller who will pay shipping from AZ wins.
I took the advice of the group and visited the Harley dealer here in Tucson. The parts guy quoted me a price of $40 but, on my way out the door one of the employees handed me a note with his name and number and the words "FREE sportster mufflers".
I called him and he explained that he had swapped
his out for slash-cuts and he would give his old mufflers to me. I put one on and I'm really happy with the sound
(I've gone from stock muffler=sewing machine,
to straight pipe=pounding on a 55 gallon drum ,
to the sportster= angry dragonfly (wifes description)
I wanted to point out the kindness of human nature ..
I spent the evening with the guy, we talked and had a great time. Not all are Harley nutz........
